Established in July 2010, Hong Kong Youth Saxophone Choir (HKYSC) has been partnered with the non-profit art organization, Hong Kong Youth Saxophonist. The HKYSC is founded and directed by the local renowned saxophone pedagogues and artists, Ms. Tsang Man Sze (Music Director) and Mr. Calvin Wong (Artistic Director).
The HKYSC Senior consists of university and professional saxophonists from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Hong Kong Baptist University. The HKYSC Junior consists of Associated Board of Royal Schools of Music Grade 3 to Grade 8 holders, between the age of 8-14. These young members are some of the most active participants and winners at the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival.
The mission of the HKYSC is to enhance the performing standard of potential young saxophonists. Thus, HKYSC has been actively participating in both local and overseas events, including music festivals and exchange activities, in order to promote the culture and values of saxophone playing. HKYSC has collaborated with Dr. Stephen Page (U.S.), Dr. Yi Chen (U.S.), and Kei Kimura (Japan). Invited by the Hong Kong Tourism Board, HKYSC has been performing at the annual Chinese New Year Parade Show for the past four years. In 2015, HKYSC performed at the Singapore Saxophone Symposium. In 2017, HKYSC won the Grand Prize of the Asia Pacific Saxophone Academy Competition (Ensemble Category) in Thailand.

Opus a la Carte aims at promoting Hong Kong emerging musicians to the public. With the goal of setting a higher standard, Opus a la Carte has gathered local saxophonists to form a collective performing group. The group now consist of a jazz saxophone quartet (The Capital S.), a saxophone duo focus on electronic and media elements (Saxo-Electro), and an expandable saxophone ensemble (Opus a la Carte Collective).
In 2016, we have co-presented a charity event for the benefit of Operation Santa Claus. We have also collaborated with local composers Dr. Austin Yip, Mr. Alex Yiu, Miss Ho-Ling Tang, American composer Mr. Frank Nawrot, and Hong Kong musician/photographer Mr. Kurt Chan for numerous innovative programme. This year, Saxo-Electro has been invited to perform at 18th World Saxophone Congress and Sax4tet by Opus a la Carte has been invited to perform at Singapore Saxophone Symposium 2018 and Heritage Vogue ‧ Hollywood Road.
Opus a la Carte has created an online platform providing free tutorial and informative content for the public.
